Making of Camila and Mariana Dávalos for the September issue of SoHo.

Finally! Almost one year passed since the day Camila and Mariana were photographed by Raul Higuera.

Our beloved twins, Camila and Mariana Dávalos, are on the cover of the most important Colombian magazine: SoHo. This September issue was inspired by them, the editors wanted to go farther and they made this beautiful cover with 4 couple of twin sisters.

On the cover you'll just find Mariana at the top left, twice of course! But in the spread photos you'll find Mariana with her gorgeous sister, Camila. They were photographed by the top Colombian fashion photographer Raul Higuera.

The blonde twins at the bottom left on the cover are also models of Eviterna: Elizabeth and Marcela Montoya. They were photographed by Diego Cadavid.

   

What does the word "EVITERNA" mean?

The Spanish word "EVITERNA" comes from the Latin word "ÆVITERNUS", it means:


1. The lifetime of the angels.
2. A period of time with a beggining but without an end.

Of course it has a huge meaning for us, it's our motto!

Beautiful girls ≠ Fashion models

Everyday people come asking for a chance for their beautiful friends and some girls send us their photographs. We used to explain one by one than being a model requires more than "beauty" and beauty is just a concept, it depends on the culture you move, then what is beautiful for you could be awful for others.

Beauty is not the main topic in the modeling industry.

Beauty is not enough to be a high paid model. A fashion model must be tall, thin, have a simetrical face, a specific bone structure, long legs, long distance from knee to ankle, long neck, be self confident, etc. So, as you can see, it's not easy to find a fashion model. Beauty is everywhere, because it's on the eye of the beholder, but you can't find a fashion model in every corner of your neighborhood.

Of course we understand not everybody ought to know that because not everybody is on the modeling industry. But here we go with another important topic: Some guys send us mails asking for a chance to be scouts in the agency. How do we know if they have the talent to work for us? Well, we just tell them: "bring us a fashion model and you'll get the job!". As you can imagine, they do their best effort bringing us very beautiful girls, but... remember the thing about beauty? Okay, they don't get the job.
